Carborundum Uni. Q4 net profit down 17.38% at Rs 94.25 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 94.25 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 114.07 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 17.38 per cent.
Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 4.40 per cent at Rs 655.93 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 628.28 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 6.87 per cent to Rs 539.88 crore from Rs 505.18 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 76.27 per cent at Rs 14.63 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 8.30 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 5.62 per cent to Rs 128.78 crore as against Rs 136.45 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 9.62 per cent in March quarter.
Interest declined by 96.06 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.17 crore, while Taxation increased by 6.68 per cent at Rs 29.85 crore (Mar'23 Rs 27.98 crore).
